And here are some photos from Day 2 around Portland, OR, partly along the Columbia River and partly in the surrounding countryside. Not all of the ride was along beautiful bike paths and quiet roads, but the busy roads at least had nice shoulders. By the way, it does appear to be true that the hipness quotient is higher in Portland than in surrounding areas.
